At least he was in a good mood, taking it all in.
Andrew has been a lot of fun lately and we have both been really happy.
After some recent sleep battles, I've move up bed time from 7 to 8pm.
Today he discovered a new stuffed animal friend. He took such a liking to the bunny rabbit that he even took it with him as he crawled around. We have been in search for his first "lovey"; mom wonders, will this be it?
I have been encouraging his crib-mate, "lambey", but Andrew needs to make that choice himself.
Our blogging has really been behind on his development...
He has been VERY talkative! A constant commentary, really. It is so delightful, he can "talk in paragraphs" (unintelligible ones) and is very good at taking turns in conversation.
There's a lot of imitation of noises starting to happen (a siren going by today, his toy train tooting, yesterday). Anyone who sees him comments on what a happy guy he is, always smiling! He is a real love.
A few days ago he started walking behind some of his stand-up push toys- he just needs some more of that practice to be well on his way walking!
Crawling up on all fours has taken precedence over the army crawl.
He wants stand all the time and get "into" things. We have been on the "no" patrol. Amongst no's, he knows: no tugging at Mommy's glasses, no standing in the bath tub, no pulling at the loose napkins, no picking at the heart-wreath-thing with enticing berries, and, no poking at the garbage pail. He does have a pretty loose rein around here thus far but as he becomes more mobile we will have to remember to stay consistent and be on top of things. He will often look to you for a reaction to what he's doing (especially, if it's "bad")! Moral development is underway.
Our lastest practices are simple directions and seeking recognition/naming objects.
