9 Month Dr. Appt.

This morning, after I talked on the phone and placed it on the coffee table, he pulled himself up to standing all by himself! (to get the phone, of course)

We visited Dr. James for his 9-month check-up.
The stats:
Height: 30 1/2" (97th percentile/height of an average 12 month old)
Head circumference: 18 3/4" (97th percentile/like the head of an 18 month old.. That explains why only those size shirts fit!)
Weight: 22lb 3oz (75th pecentile)
He has free reign on all he eats!!! I mean, it's all common sense (and gourmet)...
Lately he's enjoyed Nana's lasagne, brie on Ritz, and many other cheeses... We're starting to "phase out" the jarred baby foods because he won't eat them anymore. He is seeking more textures and to self-feed so he refuses to be fed by spoon unless it tastes good. I tricked him into eating peas by placing a piece of cheese on top..... Ritz crackers are a great "carrier" too. He quivers with "Mmmm! Mmm!" when he sees the package!
Dr. commented how handsome Andrew is, "beautiful blue eyes with white flecks" and how difficult it will be to discipline someone so cute!

He is SO freakin cute!!!

How old does he have to be before he gets sushi?

He had tuna (small amount- no mercury fear for those in the worry) for lunch today & cod for dinner!
One of his first food "excursions" was sushi (crab stick) given to him at our local sushi joint, Asahi. He loved it! I was worried b/c of the "shellfish allergy issue". The doctor gave us the go-ahead on shellfish, *and even* peanut butter! (He had a bit of today for the first time, on a bagel.)
We are so looking forward to going out to sushi again!!!
He's also had pieces of my supermarket sushi (minus the wasabi, fish and soy sauce).
