August 22nd

Today, Katie came to visit us and meet Andrew for the first time! It wasn't easy for her: she lives 2 hours away in Greenfield + had to find a sitter for all 3 kids! Thankfully, Nathaniel and Ella will be starting school so we'll be able to see each other more often. My little munchkin. Katie loves lions & tigers so Andy wore this outfit. He outgrew his newborn outfits & now is out of most of the 3 month sizes... Onto 3-6 months!
We went for a stroll along the Charles (swamp in background, coffees in hand).
And saw this cool painted turtle (a few of them!)...
This morning, look what Andrew accomplished in his play pen!
He was very excited! His favorite thing to look at is the frog :D
He likes its eyes and coos and smiles at it.

Hi Heather,

Oh my gosh -- Andy is SO cute :)

How is everything going? Are you planning to return to work or are you staying home with him for a while?

Cheers,
-Helen

Helen!

I am so lucky-

Full time Mom now!!!

Time to work on my culinary interests & I also want to get back to my artistic roots-

And of course, teach Andy my appreciation for the outdoors...

Hoping he'll become my little sous chef, too!
BTW, I didn't mention it or take photos but I cooked up your fabulous recipe for poached (um, yes, salmon) in white wine, maple & orange recipe for our lunch & had leftovers for lunch today w/a salad.
Believe it or not, it was the first time I poached fish and now that I've done it, so easy and good- Thank You!!!

My husband Alex says he doesn't eat fish so I used to get my fill on expensive sushi lunches but now that I am not working I'll be cooking fish more often at home (and hopefully get him to try some!).
At some point soon I am headed to New Deal to splurge on that excellent olive oil and get some good fish- Again, thanks to your introduction.
Glad you got to see the blog!

Cheers!
