There was a lot of yummy food
(the heart-shaped pb & j sandwiches were my fav)
and wonderful gifts for Andy!
We had a great time.

Oooooh! Presents galore!!
Mama Bucell kept good notes.
Alex was broken in well with his new duty as designated "pack horse".
Mike took photos with my camera (thank you!)
June is excited to have a baby cousin,
she patted the belly and said in her soft little voice, "He is cute!"
For 4 years old, June is an excellent artist!
(oops, cut off her masterpiece)
Gorgeous flowers from Nana Bucell!!!!
Ahhh, I love this time of year~

"A work in progress": the baby room!
Good thing we're having a boy- didn't need to paint the already blue walls!
(ok, anyone who knows me, I wouldn't have pink if it was a girl, anyhow! lol~)
To complete the look, just need to add a denim curtain panel and new denim
cushions for the glider & ottoman our friends Todd & Erica loaned us.
For above the crib, we have a lovely print from artist-cousin April, just need it
framed. It's a very serene, colored lithograph of a pond.
I am sure that in future photos you'll see a close-up of the crib bedding (lily pads, sort of Asian-inspired & *not* babyish).

His accumulating stuffed-animal collection will be joining the forces with the already established collection of stuffed-animal frogs. Just need to set up a section for them, I may clear a lower shelf off the (not seen) bookshelf (which he will be "rearranging" soon enough).
This device is pretty neat for keeping them coralled into a handy chair (demo'd on You Tube):

Though I could get crafty and devise one, "someday"....

Woah, girly! look at that belly.. & the rest of you looks so tiny, dwarfed by the baby.. hehe
(and June is too cute!)
This weekend is July 1! I can't wait to see Andy.
I'm so used to seeing you everyday at work, it's weird with weeks going by and checking the update online..
Anyway, the room looks beautiful! I love the color of the crib/changing table/chair and the baskets from the shower - gorgeous!
Well, keep yourself hydrated today - 90 degrees +, so just relax, alright? ;)
xoxo
It's so hard for me to stay still!!!
Especially as the time winds down, the nesting urge has felt more like the nesting craze... and Alex has definitely been getting more sleep than I have, what, with my buzzing head.
I just wish I could have peace-of-mind enough to go to the beach! It would just be too uncomfortable, unfortunately- but not for long!!!
I met two nice moms while browsing the clearance rack at Gap Outlet today- both had Mountain Buggy strollers! I've been more into the Phil & Ted's (which one of them previously owned & got rid of), they both convinced me on the buggy. Mbeans.com is being updated. Yay!
In the meantime (and as one of them suggested, good!) I got a brand-new-looking used Graco car seat & snap-n-go stroller (can only be used to carry the car seat)from a lady in Brookline. Good ol' Craigslist!
Speaking of C.L., I have 2 people coming by tonight to purchase a chair & a/c I posted on there....
I also went to the overpriced Bellini baby store in Wellesley to inquire about the glider cushions. The fellow ran me a quote and it came to $367.50!! I am going to do more research, that price is rediculous.
Also stopped by "Destination Maternity" & bought a nursing bra. Ummm, the clerk suggested going up a cup size, just getting 1 for the hospital and coming back later once my thingies settle in to their new size.
E cups?!! YIKES!
There has been some slight enlargement the past couple days... Is this a sign?
Tomorrow I have the regular check-up; I need to catch up on drinking water or Dr. Falzon will be on my case!! lol~
Andy has also been very active the past 2 days, he wants OUT!
I'd be happy to keep him contained for a couple more weeks ;D
-Or, at least until after Sophia's 30th b-day this Saturday....
Update on the cushions: found them for $130 *less* from a company out of CA... but they'll arrive after baby, sometime late this month. Denim curtain from PBK to arrive via UPS today!!
Also called Graco to register the car seat (no recalls thank god!) and got an appt. for it to be "professionally" installed at the VW dealer (of all places, they do it!) on Western Ave tomorrow.
