Nola Visits and Fun at Magic Beans

Uncle Mike and Nola popped in for a quick hello after her 6-month checkup.

And to think, we sold it when he was 7 months old because I thought he was "too big" for it ;D

We had some a.m. excitement today! When Da-da went outside, the next door neighbors at Boston Lock & Safe Co. remarked that they saw the electricity arcing on the wires overhead (to our home!). A call was made to our electric supplier, NStar, and within a half hour, they had a truck out to perform a repair.

Eventually (we were hoping this would happen), he noticed Andrew (who was knocking much of the time to get his attention) and waved!

The excitement doesn't stop there! Meanwhile, we saw a T bus on the Mass Pike pass by with heavy smoke (that we could smell!) and pull over. Its passengers were let out. They stood out in the cold until another bus came by soon thereafter.
Also, the NStar man said additional crews need to come out to replace the wire. He just performed a temporary fix to reduce the hazard.

Winter! & Da-da!

We were wallopped with two storms in a row! Both produced at least 6" so there has been plenty of digging out to do (thankfully, in shifts). Andrew has loved his chances to get outside and play in it since we've been mostly housebound. He has also learned *not* to venture beyond the sidewalk, into the street (or, at least, that it's not "ok").... He is very curious about 'the other side': Mass Pike & trains!
