Rally Time (and Happy Anniversary!)

Just think- 3 years ago, 2004, we were missing out on the parade but instead getting married!! What a chaotic, joyous time it was-
And who knew, 3 years later, we would be celebrating *another*
World Series Championship with our precious little Andrew!
Here he is, performing what appears to be "The Papelbon" dance.
There were a lot of people!!!
We ended up being there for a short time because there were swarms of people everywhere, headed away because we missed the duck boat parade.
Supposedly, more people appeared for this rally than in 2004.
No complaints from Andrew! He was quiet, taking it all in.Posing for photos at The Rally.
The blimp followed us as we drove home.
Yay!!!!

World Series Champions!

Mommy and Andrew took a "victory lap" around Fenway Park the morning after, followed by a stop at the souvenir shop for World Series Champions t-shirts. We beat the crowds! http://www.yawkeywaystore.com/
They didn't have anything made up for Andrew's size yet so
he got a penant for his bedroom.
Daddy came home for lunch.
Celebrating!!!
We popped open a bottle of nice champagne given to us for Andrew's birth.
Note the hats we're wearing. Those were crucial in securing the championship (you know, lots of superstition surrounds achieving sox victories).
MVP Mike Lowell presented with the trophy.

Busy Weekend!

Saturday afternoon we celebrated Nana's birthday! We went out to lunch at "Not Your Average Joe's" in Lexington. Though it had been rainy earlier, we were able to take a nice walk to the restaurant. (My bad...forgot the camera!) Beautiful fall day~ Andrew was passed around/we took turns eating (he needed to see so much!).

That evening, Andrew went to his first Halloween party!
It was at Caleb & Elizabeth Estabrooks' new home in Somerville. All sorts of characters were present...
3 year old chicken man.
Snow White!
And a trio of unmentionables
(they were headed to a "Decline of Western Society" party afterwards)...

If Mom was up to spray painting his stroller box black, she would've been a coffin.
Andrew wore his glow-in-the-dark skeleton Gymmies!
The grim reaper tried to take him away!
Glowing....in the dark!
On Sunday we went to Lenny and Connie's in Scituate
with Cousin Betsy (out visiting from Seattle).
Here, Betsy and Lenny in the backyard (3rd Cliff).

They had lots of delicious food for us!
We were really hoping for a walk to the spit
but due to the astronomically high tide were
unable to! (I've never seen it THIS HIGH!)Andrew all cozy with the leopard fleece.
Betsy, admiring the view~
Andrew got lip stick kiss marks from Connie! (This isn't the first time it happened.)

Roll Over!

We got all bundled up and went for a walk this morning.
Later on this afternoon Andy discovered
he could make noise with his rattle!
Then he practiced chest strength....
He can hold his head up 90 degrees.
And now roll over, front to back!
He accomplished that twice (2nd time here for the camera :D)!
Passed out after all that hard work.
Daddy passed out while watching the Red Sox
in game 2 of the World Series last night.
They've won both games!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Alex turned 34! We went out to eat at 6:00 to La Casa De Pedro. http://lacasadepedro.com/
As it turned out, that was not a good time for Andrew.
He was fine when we first got there- sat at the bar for a drink when, after getting our drinks, the bartender told us we couldn't have the baby there (ugh!).
So we got a table... By this time, perhaps he was picking up on our frustration- he became fussy. We were determined not to get take-out so we had dinner "tag team" style. We took turns walking around with him. He had to, after all, see what was going on~
These photos are from after dinner, in his p.j.'s.

Maine Foliage

Andrew's first boat ride.
On the Sedgewick's dock.Loon in the foreground.

Grandpa Andy and baby Andy.

Andy with his Mom's parents. We were by the bonfire Alex made.
Andy was staring at it the whole time in these pictures.

Cousin Betsy visited from Seattle! She met Andy and Viv.
Mimi the Siamese on Andy's stroller.
Oh yes, the Andrews had to pose here!
We went on a long walk out to Wavus point, part of Camp Wavus. http://kieve.org/
It's a girl's camp; the boy's camp is Kieve which is across the lake.

Ok, someone put Viv's doll here ;D
Andy looking a bit preturbed.
Viv loves playing captain!
She knows how to steer (well, into islands...have to watch her) and can honk the horn.
This was Andy's *2nd* boat ride.
The weather over the weekend was unseasonably warm!
